you are interested in learning to speak English or in improving your
english, there are several important things to understand. Learning to speak and
understand english well requires significant time and effort, as well as
practice through speaking and hearing English. It is unrealistic to think that a
one or two month course will enable you to speak English fluently, however many
schools offer valuable courses and we have assembled a list of directories to
help you find a school. We do not endorse any of the schools and we know from
personal experience that the quality of the instructors and schools can vary
considerably. We strongly recommend you talk to other people who have been to a
school before attending one to get their opinion of the school’s
quality of the quality of the instructor you will have.
If
you have the option to study at a college that offers
english as a second language (ESL) classes, these (in our expereince) offer the
best combination of quality and reasonable cost (if you are a resident of the
area where the college is.)
If
you are planning to travel from Brasil, you should consider
that it is generally easier to get a visa to enter Canada (at the time of this
writing). A separate visa may not be required in Canda
to study for less than 3 months, however Canada, the USA, England and Australia
all have schools you may want to consider.
It is best to take advantage of the free resources available on
